Exchequer Secretary to the Treasury, Priti Patel MP, visited the Port of Tilbury’s London Distribution Park recently for a ‘turf-cutting’ ceremony to mark the start of construction of the first warehouse building on the 70-acre warehousing development. The unit has been let to builders’ merchant and home improvements retailer, Travis Perkins.

Priti Patel MP, said: “It’s great to be here at the start of construction of the first warehouse building at the London Distribution Park.

This is a significant development, creating jobs and bringing benefits to the local community, which is central to building a stronger, more competitive economy.”
