The Port of Tilbury’s London Paper Terminal has announced a new deal with Hemisphere Freight to handle over 20,000 tonnes of directories from Spain.
Following the relocation of European shipping line OPDR to Tilbury, a number of clients have explored the benefits of a port centric (warehousing side-by-side port facilities) operation, reducing road miles and using existing warehousing within the port. Hemisphere Freight is among the first to switch operations to Tilbury from Felixstowe. |

Amsterdam-based SCS Multiport, who operates in the UK with logistics company CWT, has expanded its current service to London Container Terminal from three to five calls per week.
The increased service brings building bricks and stone from the Amsterdam depot for the UK housing market. |

CWT has created a new depot for its bulk services in Tilbury, providing depots on site at both ports. The increase in business will see vessel Fiorano partner Vantage on the Amsterdam – Tilbury rotation.

Seago Line, the short-sea haul
specialist, which is part of the Maersk Group, has launched a new service calling at Tilbury’s London Container Terminal (LCT).

The arrival of WES Carina, with her cargo of fresh tomatoes and citrus fruits from Morocco, marked the start of the service that will see ships arriving at LCT every Thursday.
