We look forward to working in partnership with the DP World team so that we can jointly offer world class transport solutions.”

British logistics giant Eddie Stobart is launching a new base at London Gateway.

It's bosses believe the DP World location will help their business provide new and existing customers with competitive container transport solutions in the south of the UK – a reputation they already enjoy in the north of England.

As well as being on the doorstep of London and the South East, London Gateway will allow Eddie Stobart to serve destinations across the UK, using London Gateway’s “road and rail solution” to provide shipping lines and cargo owners with the opportunity to reduce mileage and costs.

Alex Laffey, CEO at Eddie Stobart said: “We see the potential at DP World London Gateway and the opportunity to offer our customers greater cost efficiencies and environmentally friendly supply chain solutions.

As a multimodal transport and warehouse provider, we believe that London Gateway provides a natural strategic fit with the growth plans for our business.

This early morning arrival on the tidal Thames, Barzan, has proved
to be the longest-ever ship to visit the Port of London. It called to London Gateway in September and is the first of a series of six to

widen the UK’s supply options.”

18,800 TEU container ships built by United Arab Shipping Company (UASC) in South Korea. Thousands of containers were unloaded at London Gateway. She is 80 cm longer

than Munkebo Maersk, the Triple-E class vessel that visited us in February.
