Chris Livett of Livett’s Launches gave a presentation about operating boats on the Thames, while a representative of St Pancras Cruising Club (for narrowboat enthusiasts) told the event about a lively expedition all the way to River Medway in Kent. The event also included a presentation by our assistant marine surveyor Miles Featherstone, a keen boater,

who regaled guests with a
lively talk on his tidal Thames travels. And it concluded with
an update on works in central London, including the Thames Tideway Tunnel.

SMS manager Jon Beckett said: “It was a very enjoyable evening and many people who attended gave us a lot of positive feedback about the illuminating presentations. It was certainly one of the best briefings we’ve had in recent years.”
