Restoration work on the Port of Tilbury's historic cupola is on track – despite the severe winter weather.
Work on the £250,000 project started on 17 December when the cupola, which features prominently on the Thames skyline, was carefully removed. The ornate dome structure, situated on top of the London Cruise Terminal at Tilbury, had been in-situ since 1929. Essential restoration work was needed to ensure the historic structure is preserved and maintained for future generations. The project, carried out entirely at the expense of the Port of Tilbury,
