The first of three public meetings as part of our project to develop
a Vision for the future of the tidal Thames will take place at London Rowing Club in Putney on Thursday, 14 May 2015, just days after the initial public consultation closed.
“The response to the public consultation has been great, with more than 200 responses from people, companies and organisations passionate about the Thames,” explained PLA chief executive, Robin Mortimer. “These public meetings will enable us to
get deeper into how people want to see use of the river evolve. We’re planning for the sessions to be interactive, so people coming along can look forward to joining in a lively debate.”
The dates and venues for the public meetings are:
14 May 2015 – London Rowing Club, Embankment, Putney,
London SW15 1LB
21 May 2015 – Orsett Hall,
Princes Charles Ave, Orsett,
Essex, RM16 3HS
2 June 2015 – St Paul’s Roof
Pavilion, Southbank Centre
The meetings will start at 6.30 pm and finish by around 8.00 pm, with refreshments available from 6.00 pm. The meetings are open to anyone passionate about the Thames. To register, please email [email protected] or call 01474-562364.
The Thames Vision project is about planning for the river’s future, so that we can make the most of the river’s potential, for the benefit of all.
